Who i am
Part 1 Architect From London
In July (2015) I'm excited to graduate with First Class Honours in Architecture BA (Hons) from Sir John Cass Faculty of Art, Architecture & Design and lay the foundation of my professional career. Between my part 1 and the continuation of my studies I'm taking one year to gather work experience and get the chance to work with inspiring professionals within the field.
My interests vary from small scale live projects to residential or commercial designs, and have a particular affinity for atmospheric architecture. I'm passionate about digital drawing and always keen on experimenting with new mediums and techniques. I like taking on new challenges and as an avid learner, I aim to constantly exceed my limits.
I am a highly motivated self-starter who enjoys working as a part of a team, dedicated and results-driven, taking pride in exceeding expectations for high quality projects. I enjoy being part of a dynamic environment and thrive in highly pressurised and challenging work spaces.View Work
Years of study
public works group
- 3D Modelling
- Booklet design
- Poster design
Working one-on-one with the senior architects, my role begins from the first design stage - consultation and briefing, and carries on through brain-storming, drafting, initial proposals, development and final drawings and/or models.
As the practice works within and towards public space, I had the opportunity to engage with the community and various local organisations (Critical Practice, Chelsea College of Art etc.) on various occasions.

Arh Ilie Ana
- 3d Modelling
- Studio management
As a former student of Mrs. Ilie, I was well acquainted with her working style. I assisted in drafting projects, organising the studio and equipment, providing relevant information and support to clients, managing paperwork, attending client meetings. My duties also included answering any phone and/or email enquiries, as well as maintaining an efficient workstation.
- Logo design
- Web design
Working closely with a team of 6 designers and programmers, I had to design logos, illustrations, website interfaces and short Flash animations according to client specifications. I was also the lead designer in the company branding of a children's clothes store, including the shop front. During my time here I became very proficient with Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as basic-intermediate Flash and HTML/CSS.
BA (Hons) Architecture
First Class Honours
- Design skills
- Design cultures
- Narrative & visualisation
- Critical & contextual studies
- Communication techniques
- Integrated design audit
During my undergraduate studies I gained a strong set of design skills: from design research, development and technical reports to planning applications and building regulation. Most importantly, I learnt how to think like a designer and resolve any design/functional problems with inventive solutions. I learnt that architecture is a way of living and orchestrating day-to-day activities and that every design decision has to be supported with strong arguments. In the past 4 years I've discovered that individualism is highly valued in architecture, and managed to contour my designer personality which I hope will keep flourishing in professional practice.
- Axonometric drawing
- Constructed perspective drawing
- Descriptive geometry
- Basic architectural principles
- Composition rules
In order to get a better understanding of architecture before embarking on higher education, I decided to take private architecture classes. Here I learnt how to hand-draw axonometric views, perspectives, basic descriptive geometry, as well as composition rules. This 2 year course helped me develop strong hand-drawing skills and prepared me for my university studies.
- Advanced English
During my high school studies, I took part in various competitions (English) and started preparing for my studies abroad, by taking advanced mathematics courses and programming.
I also took the following SAT Standardised Tests:
- Mathematics 700/800
- English 720/800
- Spanish 690/800
- French 680/800
What i do
I'm skilled with hand-made models (card, timber, perspex etc), as well as templating for laser-cutting. I've worked on fairly large projects, so I'm handy with timber construction (please see Roman Road Besetka project).
- Hand-made models
- 3D Modeling
- 3D Printing
- Workshop skills
Having a personal passion for writing, I enjoy undertaking any tasks related to the literary field. I'm especially good with researching, as I have been commended for my efforts in my dissertation paper (see Awards).
- Extensive research
- Academic papers
- Creative writing
